First American made Absinthe in over 95 years. Blog writer cheers, cries.

St. George Spirits of Alameda Ca. is releasing the first American Absinthe since 1912. I am very interested in this product and cannot wait to procure some. It goes on sale on the 21st of December in the St. George tasting room as well as a few small shops on the west coast for $75. It is a relatively small run product and I have heard no news of when it will be available on the east coast or the no coast. From reading an article on it, it seems that St. George uses a less than conventional herbs in its distillation of this Absinthe. However I have heard from a few people that have sampled the final test batch and it should be delicious.
Oh and by the way, that monkey on the bottle? Totally playing the cowbell. Awesome.
